HistoryFounded in 1974 by a small, dedicated group of women who had strong ties to San Pedro High School, the San Pedro High School Lady Boosters now boasts a membership of more than 130 parents, alumni, faculty & staff members at SPHS, and friends.PurposeThe purpose of this organization is to be of service and financial support to San Pedro High School in cooperation with the school administration. All monies derived from dues and net profit from fundraising projects (except for a designated amount to run the organization) benefits the San Pedro High School Student Body. The IRS recognizes our group as a tax-exempt, non-profit organization under IRC 501 (c) (3), section 170. As such, all donations and dues for membership in our group are tax-deductible to the donor, effective August 10, 2005.MembershipMembership is open to any person interested in furthering the objectives of the San Pedro High School Lady Boosters. Members pay annual dues (currently $20.00), and are entitled to vote, hold office, attend meetings. We encourage participation in club projects either by contribution or active participation. Please visit the webpage titled 'Membership' for further information and an application form!ActivitiesLady Boosters participates in activities on the San Pedro High School campus by providing volunteer hours supporting a wide variety of activities and events. Lady Boosters also contributes significant Financial Aid to SPHS students through groups, classes, athletic teams and events on campus.
