SAN PEDRO HIGH SCHOOL'S

"SMALL LEARNING COMMUNITIES" (SLC)

Beginning with freshmen students who entered San Pedro High School in Fall 2005, the high school established three 'houses'.  Incoming freshmen were divided into these houses for the purpose of managing their needs in a more hands-on, student-friendly environment.

The high school has now completed the application process to the LAUSD Board of Education, and has received approval to move forward with the proposed concept.
